Obesity and Diet Compliance
To date no dietary protocol has been able to demonstrate sustained weight loss for participants over a period of two years. This study will compare the impact of a Nutritarian (Nutrient-Dense, Whole Foods), eating plan with a ‘Conventional Healthy’ eating plan at regular time points over a 24 month period, using a randomized-controlled study design. Primary outcome measures include body weight and body composition. Secondary outcome measures include key markers of metabolic and overall health, including medication use. This research should have a profound effect on the treatment of obesity worldwide.
